Statement of Faith

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe The Holy Scriptures, as contained in the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments; are the verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible words of God. They are the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine and practice.

We believe in the divine preservation of God's inspired Word; and contend therefore, that the King James Bible (a.k.a. Authorized Version-AV) is the only translation available today that is accurate, reliable, true, pure, and correct as God's perfect Word. The King James Bible shall be the ONLY version of the Bible to be used in all preaching, teaching and outreach ministries of this local church.

THE ONE TRUE GOD

We believe in one true and living God eternal, creator of all things, ever-present, all powerful, all-knowing, and existing in the Godhead (three persons in one--The Father, The Son (Jesus Christ) and The Holy Ghost.

We believe in God, The Father, who is the center of all life. He is altogether just, holy and righteous in all He does and requires. He has chosen to reveal himself to man through His creation, His Son and His Written Word.

We believe in the literal, person of Jesus Christ; born of  the Virgin Mary, by the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus was God in the flesh, yet sinless. He suffered died and was buried, and rose again in order to make full atonement for the sins of all mankind; thus, offering to us redemption from sin. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God, making intercession for all His saints.

We believe in The Holy Ghost of God as a divine person, who participated in the creation of the world and is active in the lives of believers, today. He empowers, guides, teaches, witnesses, seals, sanctifies and helps the believers. He convicts them of sin and bears witness to the truth of the Gospel.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Ghost, born of Mary, a virgin, and is true God and true man.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died for our sins according to The Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

We believe in the "Eternal Security" of the believer; that it is impossible for one who is truly born into the family of God ever to be lost.

We believe in he resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that all who receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of The Holy Ghost and thereby are the children of God.

THE CHURCH

We believe that God's authority in this world is in the church body, by the Holy Ghost, and that God does not put His stamp of approval on anything or anybody outside this authority, which is His church.

We believe that a Scriptural church is a visible assembly of Scripturally baptized believers, covenanted together under New Testament law for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission, with an unbroken history from the personal ministry of Jesus Christ on earth to the present day.

We believe that a New Testament church should be an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Bible-living Baptist church.

Independent in that it is self-governing, not ruled by any unscriptural denominational hierarchy.

Fundamental in that the church adheres to the faith once delivered unto the saints.

Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Bible-living Baptist church, meaning that we hold that all 66 Books of the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, are the very words of God: every jot and every tittle, and are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

We believe that Scriptural baptism is by immersion, administered by a New Testament church, only to those who are born-again, who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. There is no evidence of infant Baptism in the Scriptures, nor is there any evidence of pouring or sprinkling water as a mode for baptizing. Baptism has no saving grace whatsoever; but, it is a picture of our belief in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. It is also a picture of what Christ has done in us: we die to the old-self, our sins are buried and out of God's sight forever, and we rise to a new life with Christ. Baptism is also the means to which a believer is united with His New Testament Church.

We believe that the Lord's Supper is a memorial ordinance, restricted to faithful church members. This local church practices closed communion.

We believe that God's people should be a separated people, following the commandment of the Lord in II Corinthians 6:14-7:1. This does not mean an "holier-than-thou" attitude, but rather, this one thing we seek to do: lay aside every weight and sin doth so easily beset us, and run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1), not as though we had already attained, either were already perfect, but we press toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ.

We believe that love one for another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament churches. Love is, therefore, the great commandment of the LORD Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent.

THE CREATION AND THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that the Genesis account of creation is to be accepted literally, not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly by God, in the image of God and that man's existence did not come about by by evolution or by chance, but rather was initially a direct result of God speaking into existence every living thing whether man, animal or plant; and as God ordained that thereafter every living thing reproduces and brings forth only "after its kind."

We believe that man was created in God's image, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are eternally lost without the quickening power of the Holy Ghost to bring that person to both the knowledge of his or her ruined condition and his or her need of salvation through Jesus Christ's substitutionary death.

ISRAEL

We believe in the actual fulfillment of the prophesies and promises of the Scriptures which foretell and assure the future regeneration and restoration of Israel as a nation.

FUTURE

We believe in the bodily resurrection and blessed hope: the pre-tribulation rapture of the saved children of God, living and dead; and a seven-year period of Tribulation.

We believe in the pre-milleniel return of Christ to the earth to war against the Anti-Christ and his armies; and after Jesus' subsequent victory, the Lord sets up a millennial kingdom in which He rules and causes the earth to experience a 1,000 year period of grace and peace.

We believe in the Great White Throne judgment and the eternal damnation to the Lake of fire of all non-believers.

We believe in a literal Hell that is burning with fire and brimstone. Anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, regardless of their lifestyle, will burn with indescribable pain, anguish, and torments for all eternity, totally separated from the love of God.

We believe in a literal Heaven, where the children of God dwell surrounding the throne of God sing praises and give glory to Him. All born-again, blood washed saints shall eternally reign with him in the New Jerusalem forever.

APOSTASY

We believe that the modern charismatic movement is not of God and therefore we are not in anyway connected with that movement; neither are we in anyway associated with the World Council of Churches, the National Council of Churches, the Roman Catholic church, or any other ecumenical movement; nor do we associate with churches of like faith who are associated with the aforementioned movements. We oppose modernism, liberalism, legalism, Calvinism, formalism, and Free-Masonry.

GOVERNMENT

We believe that civil government is of divine appointment, for the interests, order and good of human society; and that we are to pray for the magistrates, and to whom we are to conscientiously honor and obey; except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Lord of the conscience and the Prince of the kings of the earth.

We believe that church and state should be separated in that; the state owing the church protection and full freedom; no ecclesiastical group or denomination should be preferred above another by the state; the state should not impose taxes for the support of any form or religion, nor prohibit the worship of Almighty God in any manner; a free church in a free state is the Christian ideal. The church should not resort to the civil power to carry on its works. The Gospel of Jesus Christ contemplates spiritual means alone for the pursuit of its ends.

FAMILY AND MARRIAGE

We believe in the holy institution of marriage originated in the Garden of Eden, being ordained by God as one man and one woman entering into the sacred covenant of the marriage union, which results in the  individuals becoming one flesh in the eyes of God. The covenant of marriage is an eternal bond in God's eyes that man cannot break.

We believe that God created intimate sexual and deep emotional relationships to be the exclusive right shared only between a man and woman who have committed to the sacred covenant of the marriage union. Any form of intimate sexual or deep emotional relationships that are permitted to develop outside of the confines of a marriage relationship between a man and a woman are direct attacks against the sanctity of marriage union and blatant sins against the will of God for mankind.

We believe that the scriptures clearly teach that any form of cross-dressing, gender modification, trans-sexuality, bisexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, incest, pedophilia, adultery, fornication, the viewing of, or participating in the degradation of others through pornography, and all other forms of sexual perversions are acts that defile God's creation of mankind are viewed in Scripture as being sinful, wicked, unrighteousness, unholy and an abomination to God.

We honor and respect the sanctity of human life, which The Scriptures declare begins at conception. All persons unborn and living are a miracle and are created in the image of our Almighty God, and therefore deserve the respect and dignity afforded them at every stage of their life. Therefore, we believe that abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, and any form of suicide are considered to be acts of murder, and therefore against the will of God for mankind.

We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord and that their parents have the God-given right and Biblical authority to oversee and be responsible for their children's physical, moral, spiritual, emotional and educational upbringing. The Scriptures clearly state that parents are to love, nurture, train, and lovingly discipline their children; and that children are to honor and obey their parents.

CHURCH PROPERTY

The worship and educational units of our building(s), and the grounds on which they are located, shall be used only for such meetings and activities as shall promote the Gospel and honour our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as found in The Holy Scriptures. We refuse the use of the worship and educational units and grounds for any service that seems contrary to church policy and belief. Weddings in our church are Christian worship services. The worship and educational units and grounds may be used by members for weddings and conducted by the Pastor.
